Bardzo duze zmiany szykuja sie na Etihad Stadium - nowy manager a takze nowe twarze na boisku moga spowodowac niemala rewolucje w sposobie i stylu gry City. Niesamowicie ciekawia mnie powody dla ktorych tak bogaty klub zatrudnil managera ktory tak naprawde nie posiada zadnych sukcesow na arenie europejskiej. Sprawdzilem dokonania Pellegriniego i okazuje sie, ze prowadzil Villareal, Real Madryt a takze Malage. Jedynie z Villareal udalo mu sie osiagnac polfinal Ligii Mistrzow... i to wszystko ! Dlaczego klub ktory wydal w przeciagu ostatnich lat naprawde wielkie pieniadze na pilkarzy, ktory w obecnym okienku transferowym rowniez sie bardzo wyroznia ( Fernandinho 40mln euro , Jovetic 26mln , Negredo 25mln , Navas 20mln = 111mln euro !!! ) zatrudnia szkoleniowca ktory nie posiada w CV ani jednego mistrzostwa z europejskim klubem ? Dla mnie osobiscie jest to wielka niewiadoma i niespodzianka... Kolejny minus jest taki, ze tak naprawde z wielkich klubow w EPL tylko w City bedzie na lawce zasiadal szkoleniowiec ktory nie ma absolutnie zielonego pojecia na temat angielskiego futbolu.
Sklad Citizens widac jak na dloni przechodzi gruntowne przemeblowanie. Nie wydaje sie ponad 100mln zeby uzupelnic sklad brakami ale raczej po to, zeby ten zespol zbudowac na nowo. Nie do konca mam przekonanie, ze Ci gracze zaczna spelniac z miejsca pokladane w nich nadzieje gdyz zaden z nich nie mial wczesniej stycznosci z wyspiarska pilka. Krotki to bedzie wpis gdyz tak naprawde ciezko jest cokolwiek powiedziec o ekipie ktora zostala zbudowana za wielkie pieniadze na przestrzeni ostatnich lat, ktora zdobyla tylko raz tytul Premier League ( i to w bardzo szczesliwych okolicznosciach ) a zawiodla na calej linii w Champions League i ktora wydaje sie znowu roztrwaniac grube miliony w celu budowy nowego zespolu. Brak wytrwalosci i konsekwencji moze doprowadzic do tego, ze Citizens w tym sezonie spadna z podium na korzysc The Gunners - druzyny ktora jest od lat prowadzona przez starego wyge Wengera i ktora rok w rok musi liczyc kazdego funta aczkolwiek ciagle gra dobra i przede wszystkim ta sama stylowo pilke.
Podsumowujac, taki oto obraz TOP4 na koniec sezonu 2013/2014 widze :

3. Arsenal Londyn
4. Man City
Zeby nie zostawic reszty zespolow tak na boku to krociotko tylko dodam, ze jesli Koguty sprzedadza ewentualnie Bale'a to grzechem bedzie zachomikowac zarobione na nim pieniadze ( brak konkretnego wzmocnienia a nawet 2 w miejsce walijczyka odbije sie czczkawka Spurs w takich meczach, gdzie ktos sam jeden bedzie musial wziasc ciezar i odpowiedzialnosc za wynik na siebie ).
Odnosnie Liverpoolu to saga z Suarezem wygladala bardzo zenujaca ( zreszta tak jak i powoli sam klub ). Nie widac zadnego powodu dla ktorego The Reds mieliby w tym sezonie wcisnac sie do TOP4 bo ich sklad dalej jest po prostu sredni a manager Rodgers nie raz pogubi sie w sytuacjach na boisku. Tak jak i sezon temu tak i teraz L'pool powinien byc poza 6-tka.
Najwieksze szanse na rozwoj daje ekipie Swansea ktora niedosc ze zatrzymala managera Laudrupa ( ktorego debiut w zeszlym roku na wyspach byl bardzo dobry ) to jeszcze sie wzmocnila. Ekipa Labedzi powinna na koniec sezonu wypasc lepiej od The Toffees ktorym ciezko bedzie sie pozbierac po utracie Moyes'a. Juz w 1 meczu sezonu The Swans podejma mistrza Anglii i jak widac po kursach ( ktore ciagle rosna ) gospodarze postawia sie mocno i Red Devils moga miec problemy z forsowaniem Liberty Stadium.
Jesli mowi sie, ze ciezko wytypowac w Premier League mistrza na koniec sezonu - to ciekawe czy latwo jest wytypowac spadkowicza ? Ja sie tego nie podejme bo uwazam, ze kluczem do sukcesu ( czytaj : utrzymania sie ) jest nie tyle dobre przygotowanie przed sezonem czy wzmocnienie swoich szeregow ale przede wszystkim olbrzymie szczescie i umiejetnosc zlapania passy w najwazniejszym momencie ( przyklady chociazby The Villans ktorzy w ostatnim sezonie na ostatnie 10 spotkan przegrali tylko 3 , dwa lata temu QPR ktore ostatnie 5 spotkan domowych wygralo na przemian z 6 wyjazdowymi porazkami itp. ). A wiec w przypadku walki o utrzymanie idealnie pasuje stwierdzenie ktore kiedys wypowiedzial Sir Alex Ferguson : "Tak naprawde sezon w Premier League zaczyna sie na 10 kolejek przed końcem".
Very big changes are ahead of Etihad Stadium - new manager and also new faces on the field may cause not so small revolution in a way and style of playing football. I wonder myself amazingly for the reasons why such a rich club would hire a manager who really does not have any success on european stage. I've checked Pellegrini's achievements and it turns out that he led Villareal, Real Madrid and Malaga. Only with Villareal he managed to achieve the Champions League semi-final and... that is ! Why is club, which has spent for the past years plenty of money for footballers, who has been one of the most distinctive also during this transfer window ( Fernandinho 40mln euro , Jovetic 26mln , Negredo 25mln , Navas 20mln = 111mln euro !!! ) employing a coach who has not a single championship title with european club in his CV ? Personally it is a great unknown and surprise for me... Another minus is a fact that out of the top EPL clubs only City is going to have a coach on bench who has absolutely no clue about english football.
The Citizens crew is obiviously undergoing serious refurbishment. One doesn't spend over 100mln just to complete squad but rather to build that team from the beginning. I'm not entirely convinced that these players will start from the very first moment fulfilling all hopes placed in them because none of them has ever had any contact with insular football. This note is going to be pretty short cause it's hard to say anything about team which has been built for real big money for the past years, which has won only one Premier League title ( in very lucky circumstances ) and completely failed in the Champions League and yet seems to be wasting another big amount of money to build new team. Lack of perseverance and consequence may lead that Citizens will decrease the podium for the benefit of The Gunners this season - team that has been led by stager Wenger which counts every single penny year by year and though still keeps playing the same stylish football.
Summing up, that's how I depict TOP4 at the end of 2013/2014 season :

In order not to leave the other teams aside I will just briefly add that if Spurs decide to sell Bale then it would be a sin to hoard money they would make on his transfer ( no specific strengthening or even 2 transfers in place of the Welshman will bounce hiccup on Spurs in such matches where someone alone will have to take the weight and responsibility of the result at himself ).
Regarding Liverpool the saga with Suarez looked really embarassing ( moreover as club slowly itself ). Do not see any reason why The Reds would push themselves to the TOP4 this season because their squad is still simply average and manager Rodgers will not once lose himself in situations on field. Just as season ago this year L'pool should be out of TOP6 again.
The greatest opportunity for development I give to Swansea team which not only stopped manager Laudrup ( who had pretty good debut last year in Premier League ) but also has reinforced itself. I have a feeling that The Swans team will end the season a bit better than The Toffees which will find themselves hard to pull together after losing Moyes. Already in the 1st game of the season Swans will take the Champion of England and as we can see from the odds ( still raising ) the host should resist strong and Red Devils might have some problems with overcoming the Liberty Stadium.
If one says that it's hard to predict the Premier League champion in the end of season - it's interesting if it's easy to predict the relegated team ? I will not take a shot because I think that the key to success ( not being relegated ) is not only good preparation before the season and reinforcing squad but mostly huge luck during season and ability of catching good pass in the most important moment ( for example The Villans who lost only 3 out of their 10 games last season , 2 years ago QPR won 5 of their last home games alternately to losing 6 away games etc. ). So in the case of the struggle to maintain a perfect match seems to be statement once said by Sir Alex Ferguson : " As a matter of fact season in Premier League starts at 10 rounds before the end. "
